Imagine a world where about every 2 years you must uproot and move to a new home, school, and state. This is a military families typical lifestyle.
When a military family member first receives their Permanent Change of Station(PCS) they have an average of 90 days or less to move. The parents have the option of telling their kids right away or waiting. Moving includes lots of brown card board boxes and saying goodbyes. When the moving truck pulls out of the driveway it is off to a new destination. Sometimes you don't see your personal belongings for months. "Military families will move a total of 9 or more times a 20 year career." This reveals that military kids are able to readjust quickly. As a military child, you are known as the new kid at school. Not only do their parents serve, kids do too.
